Remarkable Results from our Students
Our Ichimankai Students in Heguru Japan
September 2019

5 students from our Heguru SingPost Centre had achieved the incredible feat of reading 10,000 books in one month, with Heguru's Hado (wave) reading ability!
With that, they have officially been accepted into the prestigious Ichimankai Club of Heguru Japan. The induction ceremony took place in Heguru Tokyo headquarters on 7-8 September 2019. Matthew Chan (10 years old) Luc Lim (10 years old) Goh Ching Jayk (9 years old) Isaac Chung (9 years old) Nicole Wong (9 years old) 4 of the 5 students have also been selected by MOE to attend the Gifted Education Programme (GEP). This achievement would not be possible without the children's utmost efforts, sheer diligence as well as their parents' commitment and strong belief in us to help their children fully harness their right brain potential. |

Celebrating the Achievement of Our Primary 3 Student - Gifted Education Programme

It is wonderful to know that our Primary 3 student has been selected by MOE to join the GEP (Gifted Education Programme) from Primary 4 to 6.
The GEP is a MOE programme with an enriched curriculum designed to nurture intellectually gifted students to realise their full potential. It is offered to about 1% of the Primary 3 cohort each academic year. He has been attending Heguru Education Centre in Our Tampines Hub and SingPost Centre since 2014. He has undergone brain training with us for a good 9 years now. We hope that he can continue to excel in all areas and realise his full potential! |

Giving Back to the Community (CSR)
Our Tampines Hub

On this Teachers' Day, we gave back to the community by conducting a free right brain training workshop for about 15 children.
It was a meaningful collaboration with Our Tampines Hub for children residing in Tampines. As the lesson-like workshop was conducted outdoor ( at the public atrium of Our Tampines Hub ), the teachers had to work a lot harder to keep the energy level as high as our usual lessons. We are elated that there was a full turn-out and that all the children were highly engaged and focused throughout the session. It was not easy but definitely worthwhile seeing all the children joyously learning and gaining from the workshop. With a meaningful afternoon well-spent, we wish all dedicated teachers and educators a happy Teacher's Day! |
Heguru Japan Instructor Certification

3 teachers attended the instructor courses in Japan in September 2023.
One of our pioneer instructors, Principal Rhian, was there to render support and help mentor our team. It is always an enriching and invaluable experience learning directly from Heguru founders, Mrs Ruiko Henmi and Mr Hirotada Henmi, in Japan headquarters. The first-hand and rigorous instructor training helps to ensure teaching quality of our teachers. |

We are very honoured to help host and share Heguru's programmes with the team of delegates from Makassar, Indonesia.
They are all school principals and educators from the Ministry of Education. During their 1-week stay in Singapore, they visited preschools, primary as well as secondary schools. |
Heguru Japan Instructor Certification

9 teachers attended the instructor courses in Japan.
2 Principals, Senior Principal Paige (SingPost Centre) and Principal Shi Xian (Waterway Point), helped to lead and render support to our 9 teachers in Japan. We believe that it is important to stay updated and constantly upgrade our teaching skills and knowledge so that we can deliver the most effective brain development classes for children. It is always inspiring to learn in person from Mrs and Mr Henmi in Heguru Japan. Our teachers have certainly experienced and learned a lot from them during the Level 1, Level 3 and Level 4 instructor courses. |

Year-End Gathering

After a hiatus of almost 3 years, we held our company Christmas party on 14 Dec 2022!
It was great that everyone from the 5 centres got together to enjoy a day of games, bonding and singing that is filled with fun, joy and laughter. Our last company function was CNY lunch back in 2020 before Covid hit. From mandatory shut-down of enrichment centres, Circuit Breaker, creating online lessons, adapting to online teaching, adjusting to reduced student capacity due to safe distancing measures, reacting to the different phases of heightened alert, to coping with SHNs, it has been a challenging journey. We are really glad that we managed to pull through the tough period and this would not be possible without our resilient and committed team! A huge thank-you to all parents and children who braved through the storm with Heguru Education! |

Our Tampines Hub
Enrichment Centre Festival

We participated in the Enrichment Centre Festival in Our Tampines Hub during the September school holidays.
At our booth, we created free brain challenges for children to take part to win prizes. It was a blast, as even adults were drawn to play the brain challenges. Parents could also sign up for the inaugural Our Tampines Hub Kids Club to enjoy special perks. |
HDB X ITE Collaboration (CSR)

HDB collaborated with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to hold a virtual event at Oasis Terraces in November 2020. Through the collaboration, HDB hoped to provide the ITE students with an authentic learning experience by giving them a real-life opportunity and experience to plan and execute events.
Being a meaningful project which we believe will greatly benefit the graduating ITE students, we agreed to participate by facilitating them with filming of interviews, lessons, and interactive activities, This online event was streamed via HDB’s Oasis Terraces official Facebook page, and consisted of both live streaming and pre-recorded videos that could be played during the event. First in Singapore Piano International Competition 2020
|
We are elated to hear that our primary four student from Heguru Education @ SingPost Centre, Nicole Wong, has been awarded FIRST in the 2020 Singapore International Piano Competition!
Shared by Nicole's Mummy: " It is essentially an international event so there are many contestants from overseas especially China. So we did not expect her to get first and the jury are all professionals. And basically her piece is a very difficult piece with lots of technicality. And because of her age, her hand is too small to play this kind of song. So with all these difficulties in place, we competed with an open mind. But she did visualise her getting first for both categories...." "So in the end when she was playing both times, it was almost a perfect display! " It is so heartening to learn that Heguru Education has played a part in helping Nicole achieve her goals and this remarkable feat! She has applied advanced abilities honed through right brain training not only in her academics but also in extra-curricular pursuits. We are extremely proud of Nicole, who is also one of Heguru Education's Ichimankai students. Congratulations Nicole and her supportive parents! |

Heguru Japan Founder Primary Class Observation

We are very honoured to have Heguru founder, Mrs Ruiko Henmi, also creator of the renowned Heguru Primary Course, to observe our Primary Course lesson in Heguru One KM Centre.
The Primary Course class was conducted by our Japan certified instructor, Head Teacher Paige. It was a big class with great energy and learning atmosphere. Our students had also demonstrated high level of concentration, aptitude and wonderful abilities which they have progressively developed with our Heguru training. Mrs Ruiko Henmi was extremely pleased with the high standard of teaching by our instructors as well as the progress of our Primary Course students! It was definitely a memorable class observation. |

We are on air in Germany!
Heguru Education Centre (One KM) was very honoured to be selected, interviewed and filmed by German ARD TV (world's largest public broadcaster) for their TV programmes on enrichment classes for babies in Singapore. This TV special will be broadcast on national TV in Germany. The German ARD TV crew who flew in to Singapore from Germany for this special filiming was amazed by the fast speed, high energy and the wide variety of our lesson contents as well as how young our students (SG50 babies) are! |

Our CEO, Mr Kuah Eng Liang, was honoured to be invited to conduct a brain stimulation talk for families with SG50 jubilee babies during a fun and enriching community event at the Tampines Community Centre.
Heguru Education was absolutely glad to be of service with the opportunity to contribute to the Tampines residents and community. There was a great turn-out with many interested parents approaching our booth to enquire about our Heguru right brain development programmes after the talk. We held our first child model contest to select photogenic and charming faces to represent Heguru Education and be featured across our advertisting media platform as well as in our shopfront design.
It was a great morning of fun and work shooting the winners of our Face of Heguru Education contest. The children were both amazing and a huge joy to work with! They simply blew us away with what they could do in front of the cameras. A big thank you to Yanni, Scott, Hailey, Alyssa, Athena, Cedric, Liz Kyra, Carissa and Jenson! |
