Heguru Education Centre's
Best-in-Class Teachers
Heguru Education Centre consists of best-in-class educators and instructors who understand the importance of right brain development in moulding children to be the best that they can be.
Each instructor in our team is well-equipped with knowledge, technical skills and experience to effectively deliver our unique programmes.
More so, we are sincerely concerned about the well-being of our students. We see ourselves as no different from their parents, who want nothing but the highest quality education possible for their children.
All our main teachers at Heguru Education Centre have undergone rigorous certification in the headquarter in Heguru Japan. They are all personally coached and certified by Heguru founders Mrs Ruiko Henmi and Mr Hirotada Henmi, to ensure that they can effectively deliver the original Heguru programmes.

Heguru Education Singapore Founder and Executive Director
Mr Kuah Eng Liang
It is a combination of wanting to make a difference in the lives of future generations and a firm belief in the effectiveness of Heguru Education for our child.
Eng Liang, on what made him bring Heguru to Singapore.
Educational Background
Eng Liang, the Founder of Heguru Education Centre, was offered both the PLE-EDB (Promising Local Enterprise - Economic Development Board) overseas scholarship (to USA) and the Public Service Commission (PSC) – Singapore Government Scholarship (to France). He accepted the former and pursued his bachelor’s degree in one of the top Ivy League schools, Cornell University (USA). After returning from USA, he continued to pursue a Master’s Degree at the National University of Singapore.
Eng Liang last worked in SPRING Singapore (a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry which was later merged with IE Singapore to form Enterprise Singapore) before starting Heguru Education Centre.

Passion for Teaching
Eng Liang's passion for teaching was sparked by his stint of relief teaching in a secondary school in Singapore, while waiting for the Master's programme to start after returning from USA.
It was one of the most enriching experiences he had in teaching, nurturing and fostering bond with the students that ignited his passion in teaching. He was very well-liked by his students.

What Made Eng Liang Bring Heguru to Singapore
Upon comparing his overseas and local studies, Eng Liang observed how “left-brained” the Singapore educational system could be. There is precious little focus on developing the right brain of children.
When his wife became pregnant with their first child, Eng Liang began to do some research on right brain development and training for young children. He chanced upon Heguru, which was not available in Singapore then.
With great interest, he flew to Japan to visit Heguru in 2011 and attended a 3-day parents' course in Heguru Japan. He was happy to meet the founders of Heguru Japan, Mr. Hirotada Henmi and Mrs. Ruiko Henmi. After being invited to observe classes in Heguru Japan, he was amazed by the effectiveness of Heguru programmes, seeing how focused and smart the Heguru Japan students were.
Having been touched by Mr. and Mrs. Henmi’s passion and fueled by his own interest in children education, Eng Liang decided to bring Heguru to Singapore, not only to benefit his own son, but all the little learners here.

Eng Liang's Own Testament to Effectiveness of Heguru Programmes
Eng Liang's 2 children are the best testament to the effectiveness of the Heguru programmes. Attending Heguru lessons since they were babies, Eng Liang's 2 children have been selected to be enrolled in MOE's Gifted Education Programme (GEP) in one of the top Primary schools.
The Gifted Education Programme (GEP) is an academic programme designed by MOE to identify the top 1% of students from each academic year with outstanding intelligence, language, mathematical and spatial abilities.

Right brain education is not just about developing the intellectual ability of children or making them smarter. More importantly, it is for parents to realize that every child is different. Each child is unique and has her own special qualities.
Principal Paige
Principal Paige, a former Rafflesian and NTU alumnus, left a career in auditing in a big 4 firm over 12 years ago to pursue her passion and further her studies in childhood education. Since then, she has worked with many students in developing their brain capacity.
Every time she sees students improve and progress, Principal Paige is overwhelmed with a great sense of fulfilment. She is eager to help parents in discovering their children’s strengths and interests. Her belief is that every child is unique and has innate qualities and talents waiting to be nurtured.
Through Heguru Education, she knows that she can help children maximize their potential. Her goal is to lay a solid foundation for their learning so that they may gain mastery over their passion someday. She believes that this will result to creating future leaders who can make the world a better place.
Principal Paige is regarded by parents as a highly experienced, knowledgeable, and caring teacher who gives her very best during every lesson. She is also a trusted advisor to many parents.
