Heguru Education Centre
Singapore
Heguru Education Centre Singapore offers the original Heguru Method, a Japanese approach to right and whole brain development for children aged 6 months to 12 years old.
Officially licensed by Heguru Japan (HEGL), Heguru Education combines a dynamic learning environment with carefully structured activities designed to nurture children's memory, concentration, imagination, processing ability, language, numeracy, visualisation, creativity and confidence.
Our aim is not simply to help children learn more. It is to nurture the underlying abilities that help children learn, think, remember, create and develop their potential.

What is Heguru Education?
Heguru Education is a unique form of children's brain development and enrichment education developed in Japan.
The Heguru Method takes a holistic approach to learning, incorporating activities that engage different aspects of children's cognitive, creative and emotional development.
Rather than focusing on a single academic subject, Heguru lessons expose children to a wide variety of experiences involving memory, language, numbers, visualisation, listening, movement, general knowledge and creative thinking.
Through regular exposure to varied activities in an energetic and supportive environment, children are encouraged to develop their capacity to learn while building confidence and curiosity.
The Heguru Method from Japan
The Heguru Method originated in Japan and has been developed through decades of classroom experience, research and practice.
Heguru Education Centre Singapore is officially licensed by Heguru Japan (HEGL) to offer the Heguru Method.
Our programmes are designed for children from 6 months to 12 years old, covering important stages from infancy and toddlerhood through preschool and primary school.
The Heguru approach recognises that children learn in different ways and that early childhood provides an important opportunity to nurture a broad range of abilities.

Our Story
We believe the early years present a remarkable opportunity for brain development.
Long before children enter formal primary education, their brains are rapidly building and refining the neural connections that support learning, memory, language, reasoning and emotional development.
Heguru was created to make the most of these formative years — providing children with structured, joyful and meaningful learning experiences designed to engage the brain as a whole.
Rather than teaching isolated academic subjects, our programmes work across multiple areas of development, including memory, concentration, imagination, language, numeracy, visualisation, processing speed and emotional intelligence.
The goal is not simply to help a child remember more. It is to develop the underlying capacity to learn, think, process and create — giving children a stronger foundation for learning throughout their lives.
Heguru's 5 Purposes
of Brain Education
01. Expanding the Capacity for Learning
Heguru aims to nurture children's capacity to absorb, process and retain information.
Through varied activities and repeated exposure to information, children are encouraged to develop stronger learning habits and greater confidence in handling new information.
Parental encouragement also plays an important role in helping children develop positively.
02. Discovering Multiple Talents
Every child has unique strengths and interests.
Heguru provides children with opportunities to explore different types of activities and discover abilities that may not always be apparent in conventional classroom settings.
Through exploration, practice and independent effort, children can develop curiosity, perseverance and a sense of accomplishment.
03. Building Self-Confidence & Potential
One of the most important goals of Heguru Education is helping children experience the feeling of:
“I can do it!”
As children attempt new activities and overcome challenges, they learn to trust their own abilities.
This positive experience can help nurture confidence, independence and a willingness to take on new challenges.
04. Cultivating the Power of the Mind (EQ)
Learning is not only about cognitive ability.
Heguru also places importance on children's emotional development, positive mindset, resilience and relationships with others.
We believe parents play an important role as their children's first teachers, and we encourage a supportive learning environment that nurtures both mind and heart.
05. Developing Genuine Thinking Power
Heguru encourages children to develop the ability to observe, question, reason, evaluate and make connections.
The programme combines imaginative activities with opportunities for logical thinking, helping children develop flexible and independent approaches to learning.
What Happens in a Heguru Lesson
Every Heguru Education lesson is deliberately fast-paced and varied — because a young brain stays engaged, and keeps forming connections, when it's given fresh input often.
A single class can include over 40 different activities.

1
High-Energy, Activity-Rich lessons
Children move through different activities at a lively pace, including memory exercises, visual activities, listening exercises, language, numeracy, flashcards, movement and other learning experiences.
The variety helps maintain children's engagement and gives them opportunities to practise different skills throughout the lesson.
2
Two-Teacher Instruction
Heguru classes are conducted by at least two teachers.
This teaching format allows lessons to maintain a high level of energy and smooth transitions between activities while providing additional support and interaction for students.
3
Multi-Sensory Learning
Heguru lessons incorporate different forms of sensory input, including visual, auditory and movement-based activities.
The objective is to create a rich and engaging learning environment in which children can participate actively rather than simply listen to a teacher.
4
Learning Through Fun
Children learn best when they are engaged and enjoying the experience.
Heguru lessons are intentionally filled with varied and stimulating activities designed to spark curiosity, maintain attention and make learning an enjoyable experience.
