Student Results & Achievements
in Singapore

At Heguru Education Singapore, we are proud to see our students apply the abilities developed through our brain enrichment programme in academics, reading, music, research and other areas.

From nurturing high-ability learners, Gifted Education Programme (GEP) selections and outstanding research achievements to Hado Reading milestones, joining Ichimankai club in Japan, and international competition awards, these are some of the remarkable achievements of our students.

Every achievement reflects not only talent, but also years of learning, perseverance, confidence and the support of their families.

Five Heguru Singapore Students Achieve Remarkable Hado Reading Milestone:

10,000 Books in One Month!

Ichimankai is a recognition programme associated with Heguru Japan for students who achieve the remarkable milestone of reading 10,000 books in a single month using Heguru’s Hado (Wave) Reading ability.

Five students from Heguru Education @ SingPost Centre achieved this extraordinary feat and were subsequently officially inducted into the prestigious Ichimankai Club of Heguru Japan.

The induction ceremony was held at Heguru’s Tokyo Headquarters on 7–8 September 2019, where the children were personally inducted by Heguru Japan’s founders, Mrs Ruiko Henmi and Mr Hirotada Henmi.

Our Five Outstanding Students

  • Matthew Chan — 10 years old

  • Luc Lim — 10 years old

  • Goh Ching Jayk — 9 years old

  • Isaac Chung — 9 years old

  • Nicole Wong — 9 years old

Even more remarkably, four of the five students were subsequently selected by Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE) for the Gifted Education Programme (GEP).

This extraordinary milestone reflects the students’ tremendous effort, unwavering dedication and perseverance, together with the commitment, encouragement and strong support of their parents, who believed in their children and supported them in developing and harnessing their full potential.

We are incredibly proud of all five students and of the dedication, determination and perseverance that made this remarkable achievement possible.

Heguru Education's Primary 5 Students
Awarded Gold & Silver

in Gifted Education Programme (GEP)
IRS Projects 2023

Heartiest congratulations to our two Primary 5 GEP (Gifted Education Programme) students for being selected to represent their respective primary schools at the 2023 GEP IRS (Individualised Research Study) Exhibition, where they proudly attained Gold and Silver Awards!

The IRS has been a cornerstone in the GEP enriched curriculum for many years. It is an independent research project based on pupils' personal interests. It aims to develop in pupils research skills, inquiry skills, learning-how-to-learn skills as well as written, oral and visual communication skills. It offers pupils the opportunity to pursue a self-selected real-life problem like a "practising professional" would.

Both students have been attending Heguru Education Centre for an incredible 9–10 years, and we are truly proud to see their dedication and achievements shine through.

Selected for
Gifted Education Programme (GEP) 2023

We are delighted to share that our Primary 3 student has been selected by MOE to join the GEP (Gifted Education Programme) from Primary 4 to Primary 6.

The GEP is an MOE programme with an enriched curriculum designed to nurture intellectually gifted students and help them realise their full potential. It is offered to approximately 1% of the Primary 3 cohort each year.

He has been attending Heguru Education Centre at Our Tampines Hub and SingPost Centre since 2014, and has undergone our brain training programme for an incredible 9 years.

We are very proud of his achievement and hope he will continue to excel in all areas, grow with confidence, and realise his full potential!

Heguru Education's Primary 4 Student
Wins First Prize
at Singapore Piano International Competition 2020

We are absolutely delighted to share that our Primary 4 student from Heguru Education @ SingPost Centre, Nicole Wong, was awarded first place at the 2020 Singapore International Piano Competition

Shared by Nicole’s mummy:

“It is essentially an international event, so there were many contestants from overseas, especially from China. We did not expect her to get first place, and the jury members were all professionals.

Her piece was also very difficult, with lots of technical challenges. Because of her age, her hands were still too small to play a piece of this difficulty. With all these challenges, we competed with an open mind.

But she did visualise herself getting first place in both categories…

So in the end, when she performed both times, it was almost a perfect display!”

It is truly heartening to know that Heguru Education has played a part in supporting Nicole as she works towards her goals and achieves this remarkable feat.

Nicole has applied the advanced abilities developed through her right-brain training not only in her academics, but also in her extracurricular pursuits.

We are incredibly proud of Nicole, who is also one of Heguru Education’s Ichimankai students, and we would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Nicole and her supportive parents!

Congratulations, Nicole! May you continue to dream big, visualise your goals and achieve even greater heights!
