Heguru Primary School Course
7 to 12 Years Old ( Primary 1 to 6 )
Develop the Mind & Advanced Learning Skills for Competitive Edge
Primary school is an important stage in a child's development.
As schoolwork becomes more demanding, children need more than subject knowledge. They also need the ability to remember, understand, process information quickly, think critically, solve problems and stay focused when faced with challenges.
The Heguru Primary Course is a unique enrichment programme for children aged 7 to 12 years old, designed to develop the cognitive and learning abilities that support children throughout primary school and beyond.
Rather than focusing solely on tuition or examination preparation, Heguru develops the mind behind learning — strengthening memory, processing speed, analytical thinking, visualisation, problem solving, concentration and mental resilience.

We Develop the Mind behind Learning
for Whole-Child Development
Well-Rounded Whole-Child Development
The Heguru Primary Course is our most advanced programme, launched in Singapore in July 2015.
It was developed to go beyond traditional tuition by developing the cognitive abilities and learning skills children need to succeed in primary school and beyond.
The Heguru Primary Course builds upon the foundational abilities developed during the earlier Heguru Infant & Toddler and Preschool programmes.
At the primary school stage, children are progressively challenged to apply, connect and strengthen these abilities through fast-paced activities, memory exercises, visualisation, language, numeracy, reasoning and problem-solving tasks.
For children who are new to Heguru, the programme also provides opportunities to develop these foundational skills progressively with guidance from our teachers.
The goal is not simply to help children memorise more. It is to help them become more capable, independent and confident learners.
Through increasingly challenging activities, children develop high-order memory, analytical thinking, processing speed and problem-solving skills.

We Develop Advanced Learning Skills & Cognitive Abilities
Beyond Traditional Enrichment
High-Order Learning Skills & Cogntive Abilities Development
The Heguru Primary School Course also introduces advanced learning activities such as speed reading, speed writing and Heguru's Hado Reading.
Rather than focusing primarily on memorising content for tests, the Primary Course aims to develop children who can think, process, analyse and learn more effectively.
Beyond academic skills, the programme also nurtures mental resilience, confidence and emotional intelligence, supporting the development of well-rounded children who are equipped to handle challenges both in school and in everyday life.

What Happens in a
Heguru Primary School Lesson?
The Enrichment That Gives Primary Schoolers
a True Differentiating Edge
Every Heguru Primary lesson combines a wide range of stimulating activities designed to engage different learning abilities.
Rather than spending a long period on a single exercise, lessons move through a variety of activities at a purposeful pace. This keeps children actively engaged while giving them opportunities to practise different skills within the same lesson.
Segment 1:
Brain Activation & Learning Abilities

The first part of the lesson focuses on developing and strengthening foundational cognitive abilities through activities such as:

Parents' Debrief

-
Parents are invited into the classroom at the end of each lesson for a brief 5-10 minutes debrief with the teacher.
-
The teacher will recap the key activities and skills covered in the lesson, highlight areas that may require more attention, and guide parents on how to support their child, particularly with more challenging questions and activities.

What Makes Heguru Education Primary School Course
Truly Different and So Effective

Heguru Hado Reading and Ichimankai Club
(Hado read 10,000 books in a month)
As children progress through Heguru’s advanced training, they develop increasingly sophisticated brain and learning abilities. One of these advanced abilities is Heguru Hado Reading, also known as “Wave Reading”, which can develop naturally through regular and consistent Heguru training.
Ichimankai is a special club in Heguru Japan for children who have mastered Hado Reading and certified to have achieved the remarkable feat of reading at least 10,000 books in a month.

Mental Resilience and Winning Mindset
With 120-minute lessons, children are gradually trained to develop stronger concentration, patience and mental stamina, helping them stay focused and engaged even when tasks become more demanding.
Through challenging puzzles, problem-solving activities and progressively difficult questions in the workbook, children learn not to give up when they encounter something they cannot solve immediately.
Over time, this builds mental resilience and a winning mindset - the confidence and determination to face challenges, overcome setbacks and see difficult tasks through to the end.
It is not just about getting the right answer. It is about developing the mindset to keep going until completion.

Meditation & Positive Affirmations
Through regular meditation and positive affirmations, children learn to calm their minds, improve focus and develop a positive attitude towards learning and challenges.
At the same time, we incorporate positive life values and moral values that encourage children to develop qualities such as respect, gratitude, kindness, perseverance, responsibility and consideration for others.
These practices help nurture a positive-minded, resilient and well-rounded child with strong values.

Fast-Paced Lessons. Maximise Brain Stimulation
Speed is a defining feature of the Heguru Method. Our carefully paced, fast lesson activities are intentionally structured to keep your child's brain continuously engaged.
By presenting a wide variety of short, stimulating activities at a rapid pace, children learn to absorb and process information more efficiently, while maximising brain stimulation.

Two Teachers. One Seamless Learning Experience.
Our unique two-teacher classroom model is what makes Heguru Educations's fast-paced lessons possible, and allows the class to progress seamlessly without unnecessary pauses.
This efficient teamwork enables children to experience a greater variety of stimulating activities, keeps the lesson energetic and engaging.
No other brain training enrichment programmes deliver the same combination of engaging fast-paced lesson delivery, rapid activity transitions and two-teacher classroom support that defines the Heguru Method.

Over 40 Engaging Activities in Every Lesson
Every Heguru lesson features over 40 carefully designed activities, far more than what is typically found in a conventional enrichment class. Each lesson exposes children to a rich variety of concepts.
We also recognise that young children have naturally short attention spans. Instead of spending extended periods on a single activity, lessons transition rapidly through a wide variety of fun, stimulating experiences. This keeps children attentive, motivated and actively engaged while maximising every minute of valuable learning time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can my child join Heguru Primary Course without attending brain training lessons before?
Your child can join the Heguru Primary Course even if they have not attended our earlier Heguru Brain Training lessons.
The Primary Course is specially designed to build essential cognitive, learning and academic skills progressively, while introducing children to Heguru’s unique methods and activities. Our teachers will guide each child throughout the lessons and help them adapt to the programme.
While starting earlier gives children more time to build their foundation, it is never too late to begin. With regular and consistent training, older children can continue to develop their memory, concentration, processing speed, analytical thinking and other cognitive abilities.
Even for children aged 10 and above, progress is possible—particularly when they are interested, engaged and motivated to participate in the training. A child's willingness to learn and consistent practice are important factors in helping them develop their potential.
The earlier you start, the more time you have to build the foundation—but it is never too late to begin.
Can the Heguru Primary Course help with school examinations?
Better memory, faster processing speed, and sharper analytical thinking skills which we develop in the Heguru Primary Course support academic performance broadly, though the course is designed around whole brain development rather than subject-specific tutoring.
Does Heguru Primary Course focus on school subjects?
Heguru Primary Course is not traditional tuition. While activities may reinforce areas such as English, Mandarin, Mathematics and Science, the primary focus is on developing the cognitive and learning abilities that support learning across different subjects.
What is Hado Reading?
Hado Reading, sometimes referred to as “Wave Reading”, is a distinctive ability associated with the Heguru Method.
Unlike conventional speed-reading techniques, Hado Reading is not taught as a specific skill or technique.
Rather, it is understood within the Heguru Method as a natural ability that may emerge as a child’s right-brain and whole-brain abilities become increasingly developed.
Through Heguru’s training in areas such as visualisation, memory, concentration and rapid information processing, children progressively develop the underlying abilities associated with Hado Reading.
The emphasis is therefore not on teaching children how to Hado Read, but on developing the brain abilities from which this advanced form of reading may naturally emerge.
How does Heguru Primary School Course differ from normal tuition?
Traditional tuition generally focuses on teaching specific academic subjects and preparing children for school assessments.
Heguru takes a different approach by focusing on the learning abilities behind academic performance, including memory, processing speed, concentration, visualisation, analytical thinking and problem solving.
At what age can my child attend the Heguru Primary Course until?
The Primary Course can be continued throughout the primary school years until end of Primary 6 (age 12), allowing children to progressively develop more advanced skills as their brains and learning abilities mature.
